Beautiful and complex with lots going on: prominent syrupy sweetness, floral notes (rose petal), rye spice, oak, raisin bran cereal notes, and raisin.

Initially surprising with less sweetness than expected; develops with additional sips into buttery and leathery flavors. Mid-palate shows vanilla, raisin, subtle caramel, and spice reminiscent of Dr. Pepper. Some bitterness and walnut shell tannins present. Rye spice comes through more than barrel spice.

Short and quick to fade; little lasting impression. Minimal hug or persistence on the palate.
