The fine print
- How am I billed?
- Monthly through Stripe. Your card is charged once on signup, then on the same day each month after.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep your benefits until then, and you won't be charged again. No gotchas, no calls to make.
- Can I change tiers?
- Upgrades take effect immediately and we prorate the cost — you only pay the difference for the days left in your current billing period. Downgrades kick in at the start of your next billing period, so you keep your higher-tier perks until then.
- About the t-shirt
- Members at the Partner ($10) and Inner Circle ($20) tiers get one branded t-shirt — total, not per year. It ships about 30 days after you sign up (a sticky-membership check that protects us from sign-up-then-cancel). One per lifetime, even if you re-subscribe later.
- Refunds?
- Membership fees are generally non-refundable, but if there's a billing problem or you believe you were charged in error, email hello@thebourbonroad.com within 30 days and we'll work with you. Small team, real humans.
- What happens to my data if I cancel?
- Your account stays put and at the end of your subscription term you return to “Encourager” level. Only the tier-specific perks turn off. If you want everything deleted, use the Delete my account button on your account page — see our privacy policy for the full retention rules.
