Nose
Light and airy with fresh canned peaches, fresh cut flowers, and spring florals. Notes of floral bouquet, fresh cut grass, and peach syrup.
Palate
Super light and delicate. Grassy notes with boiled peanuts, a little nutty character, and slight bitterness like biting into green fruit. White pepper spice present but no Kentucky hug. Very simple, one-note character that doesn't reveal the 10-year age statement.
Finish
Virtually nonexistent. Little to no lingering finish, with just a hint of bitterness that quickly fades away.
Disappointing
A light, approachable rye suitable for introducing new drinkers to the category, but the 10-year age fails to manifest and lacks the depth and complexity expected at this price point.
