Basil Hayden 10 Year Rye Whiskey
80 proof 10 years Rye Jim Beam Clermont, KY $70 Undisclosed

Light and airy with fresh canned peaches, fresh cut flowers, spring florals, and fresh cut grass. Subtle peach syrup sweetness with minimal spice.

Super light and refreshing with minimal complexity. Grassy notes, nutty peanut character (green boiled peanuts), a little fruit, and white pepper spice. Some bitterness like biting into green fruit. Very simple one-note profile without Kentucky hug.

Minimal to nonexistent finish. Little bitterness present but fades quickly without lingering.

Lackluster
A light, approachable rye suitable for introducing novice whiskey drinkers to the category, but it lacks complexity and finish expected at the price point.
