Bulleit 10 Year Bourbon
91.2 proof
10 years
Bourbon
Bulleit
Louisville, KY
$40–$50
68% corn, 28% rye, 4% malted barley
Nose
Floral and honeysuckle notes with rich oak. Honey dew and amber glow. Cereal notes with a slight earthy and green character. Little bit of spice detected.
Palate
Spice and pepper on the back end with nice mouth coating. Light fruit notes, perhaps peach. Not thick-bodied but fairly decent. Coats the mouth well with traditional brown sugar and caramel notes.
Finish
Lengthy finish with barrel char. Heat in the mouth from the spice. Drying finish with little oiliness, likely due to chill filtering at this proof. Brown sugar and caramel linger.
Respectable
A solid middle-tier bourbon with good oak influence and noticeable rye spice that makes for a fine everyday sipper.
