Elijah Craig Barrel Proof B520
130+ proof Bourbon Heaven Hill Bardstown, KY

Complex and layered with butterscotch, caramel, and sugar smacks cereal notes. Initial medicinal or varnish character gives way to deeper sweetness and spice.

Heavy oak presence with a Kentucky hug delivered deep in the center of the chest. Mid-palate-driven with cocoa powder and chocolate-covered almond nuttiness. Drying effect on the sides rather than bitterness. Spice emerges from barrel interaction. Not overly sweet up front.

Long finish with hot honey character that begs for continued sipping. A great finish that lingers on the back palate.

Really good
A complex, barrel-forward pour with impressive mid-palate presence and long, warming finish—everything expected from a high-proof barrel proof.
