Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey (80 Proof)
80 proof NAS Tennessee Whiskey Jack Daniel's Lynchburg, TN $27–$30 (handle) 51% corn, rye, malted barley

Simple but nice with caramel, oak, and pepper. A bit of honey and black tea. Earl Grey with honey and orange zest. Not much alcohol burn on the nose.

Goes down real easy and smooth with no sharp edges. Sweet tea, honey tea, and brown sugar. Peanutty or nutty taste, possibly peanuts rather than almonds. Just enough bite to confirm it's real whiskey. Not viscous.

Smooth finish that doesn't linger heavily.

Disappointing
An accessible, everyday Tennessee whiskey that's smooth and easy-drinking but not particularly distinctive—perfectly suited for cocktails and highballs rather than neat sipping.
