Unmistakably bourbon with complex depth and richness. Stone fruit and red round fruits (currant, cherry, plum) prominent with an icy, fresh quality like a cherry Slurpee. Caramel and vanilla forward with some floral notes (lavender pastilles, Ricola cough drops). Oak present but masked by fruitiness. Red wine cask influence evident with acidity.
Big full bourbon flavor on first wave, with layered and complex secondary flavors. Wine comes through first, followed by Oloroso sherry notes with salty, nutty, resiny, and raisin characteristics. Floral candies and aromatic hard candy notes. Not overly sweet despite finished nature. Nice full body with pleasant balance. Delayed Kentucky hug that builds gradually. Mouthwatering finish.
Cherry juice and sherry cask influence. Little bit of brown sugar sweetness and buttery notes. Mouth-watering with some spice and a light burn on the back palate, not overpowering. With ice, the finish becomes more refreshing with brown sugar and buttery notes still present on the back end.
