Nose
Big, bright nose with green apple notes; dusty character typical of older vintage bottles.
Palate
Spiky and tingly on the front of the palate with an interesting fuel-like note mixed with leathery notes and char that meld together, then opens up to richer caramel flavors; good weight carries the whiskey through.
Finish
Fireworks show of flavor; spiky tingly sensation on the back of the tongue with sustained caramel and char notes that do not thin out or disappear.
Excellent
A remarkably well-preserved dusty that has held up exceptionally well over nearly 85 years, with complex layered flavors and impressive balance for its age.
