Palate
Very sweet, pulling sweetness from both barrels. Buttery on the tongue with creamy mouthfeel. Smokiness carries through with a little pepper bite on the back end, described as barrel bite rather than rye bite.
Finish
Smoke and oak from the second barrel with a little bite further down the tongue. A Kentucky hug develops as the whiskey opens up.
