Rich Grain Distilling High Rye Bourbon
90 proof 2 years Bourbon Rich Grain Distilling 66% corn, 17% barley, 17% rye

Delicate and floral with sweet, peachy notes reminiscent of older Maysville. Malt-forward with a Scotch-like quality despite lacking peat. Young juice evident on the nose with a subtle complexity.

Very sweet upfront with pronounced caramel and marshmallow notes. Black pepper spiciness and burn present from the rye. Corn provides underlying sweetness while the barley malt creates a creamy texture. Drying on the back end with delicate fruit notes—peach and pear—rather than bold oak character.

Drying with lingering pepper spice. Limited oak presence given the youth of the spirit. The finish is relatively short but clean, with the corn character settling into the background.

Overall Score
3.5 / 5
A delicate, malt-forward young bourbon with promising fruit and spice balance that will benefit from additional aging despite already displaying good structural integrity.
