Are you always on the hunt for the next great bottle of bourbon ?
As two old sailors, Big Chief and Jim are always on the lookout for a great bourbon. Precision Wine Company’s Navigator Bourbon caught their eye.
Precision was kind enough to send us a bottle and we hope you enjoy our # podcast review of it. We hope you enjoy Jim and Big Chief’s review. Cheers!
Oh….and drop a comment if you recognize the book in the photo. It carries a special meaning to Big Chief.
Tasting Notes: Precision Wine Company’s Navigator Bourbon
Vital Stats: It has a mashbill of 74% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barely and is 86.6 proof. It was aged for 3 years in Kentucky and then aged another 90 days in a Cabernet Sauvignon barrels in Napa Valley. It has an MSRP of $49.99.
Appearance: Ornate nautical label on the bottle with dark golden brown bourbon inside.
Nose: Sweet tobacco, dark stone fruit, red wine oak and maybe even some banana extract.
Palate: A sweet rye spice that sizzles with stone fruit. The stickiness of a heavily over coated cinnabon cinnamon bun.
Finish: Medium to long with an amazing Kentucky hug.
Overall: This is a great porch sipper for both of us to share with friends. With a great price this is a buy all day long for both of us.
To what address would I send our three parts Wild Turkey 86 and one part wld Turkey 101 finished in a 10 liter barrel from Irons One Distillery? I am biased, but it is pretty good. Where can I get 2 or 4 ounce sample bottles? Thanks, Cowin Knowles
I started into bourbon just recently and have been binge listening.

I would love a bourbon 101 podcast with questions submitted.
