Vital Stats: This is a true small batch rye whiskey with a mashbill of 55% rye 30% corn and 15% malted barley. It’s 95 proof with a MSRP of $85.99. Aged 3 years and 10 months
Appearance: Old Style whiskey bottle with a pear neck. The whiskey inside is a mahogany amber.
Nose: Candied licorice with orange marmalade and spicy white pepper.
Palate: Pumpernickel rye bread with salted butter and orange marmalade jelly. Sticky thick and spicy that coats your mouth.
Finish: Medium to long with a beautiful Tennessee hug
Overall: This is a southern style rye that you must try. It is the beauty of craft distilling and showcases the magic that these artisan distillers are producing. It’s a buy all day long and will be nice in any cocktail.
