Tasting Notes: Cody Road Bourbon
Vital Stats: The mashbill is 70% corn, 20% wheat, 10% barley. It’s 105 proof and has an MSRP of $35. It’s at least 4 years old.
Appearance: Beautiful with a leather textured label that’s fitting for the legendary showman. The bourbon is honey amber.
Nose: Corn sweetness and young. Dandylion floral with hints of oak.
Palate: Light sweet cinnamon spice, with Iowa roasted corn and raspberry.
Finish: Short with a nice Mississippi River hug.
Overall: We both would like to see it older. It was still a nice craft whiskey and we are glad Melody Shannon grabbed a bottle from the distillery. Pick up a bottle from Binny’s beverage online or on your travels. Cheers
