What’s your favorite expression from Lux Row Distillers?
As many of you know Big Chief loves his wheated bourbon, so his is naturally Rebel Bourbon. It should have been no surprise that he grabbed a bottle last year, when Rebel bourbon released their Rebel Distiller’s Collection. This year is no different.

Tasting Notes: Rebel Distiller’s Collection
Vital Stats: It is a single barrel from pick from Total Wine & More,has a MSRP of $39.99 and was barreled on November 2, 2015 making it 6 years old. The mash bill, which is 68% corn, 20% wheat, and 12% malted barley.
Appearance: The same bottle as the 10 year with bourbon that is dark amber.
Nose: Sweet cherries and chocolate pudding. Floral notes of roses, oak and caramel.
Palate: Sizzling sweetness and spice. Cheery pop rocks and a German dark chocolate cake all rolled into one. A very complex bourbon that will give you a little of everything.
Finish: Long and lasting . It will leave you with a beautiful warming Kentucky hug.
Overall: This is a buy for both of us. How could it not be at this price and this proof? A well crafted whiskey that can be gifted, shared with friends or to introduce people to the wheated bourbon world.
