Jim & Brian taste Jefferson's Ocean Voyage 25, Green River Weeded, Larceny Barrel Proof B523, and the $500 Kentucky Owl Mardi Gras Rye — plus big sponsor news.
Tasting Notes
Show Notes
Jim Shannon and Brian Hyatt are back with another episode of The Bourbon Road, opening with a heartfelt acknowledgment of the tragic mass shooting that struck downtown Louisville earlier that week, just one block from Brian's office. After pausing to honor those affected, the guys shift gears and do what they do best — pour some whiskey and talk through what's in the glass. This week features four samples sent in by distilleries, ranging from a sea-aged bourbon to a high-proof weeded barrel proof release, plus some exciting news for the Bourbon Road community.
On the Tasting Mat:
- Jefferson's Ocean Voyage 25: A 90-proof sea-aged bourbon from Jefferson's, finished aboard a ship crossing multiple climate zones. Brian picks up salted caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, butterscotch, and a touch of cherry on the nose, with mild rye spice and pepper on the finish. A lingering, elegant sipper with a slightly more present ethanol note than expected at 90 proof. Retails around $83. (00:06:58)
- Green River Weeded Bourbon: A 90-proof weeted bourbon from Green River Distilling in Owensboro, Kentucky. Jim finds a soft, spring-like nose of honey, apple, and gentle fruit with light spice. The palate is easy-flowing, floral, slightly sweet, and sessionable with a short but pleasant finish. A warm-weather porch sipper at an approachable $35 price point. (00:13:54)
- Larceny Barrel Proof B523: Heaven Hill's second barrel proof release of 2023, bottled at 124.4 proof. Jim notes a somewhat aggressive ethanol-forward nose with fruity caramel and almond underneath. The palate opens up beautifully — buttery, silky, butterscotch, honey, and a nutty warmth with a slightly drying texture. A limited release weeted bourbon that would make a spectacular hot toddy. (00:20:27)
- Kentucky Owl 2023 Mardi Gras Rye: A limited-edition rye whiskey finished in Bayou XO Mardi Gras Rum barrels, retailing at $500. Brian finds a classic rye-forward nose layered with citrus and plum. On the palate, buttery rum, brown sugar, and intense rye spices lead into a distinctive spearmint cooling finish. A unique and collectible expression from Kentucky Owl. (00:29:07)
Beyond the bottles, Jim and Brian announce a new sponsorship partnership with Blantons Bourbon Shop — the official online merchandise destination for all things Blanton's — and reveal the launch of the Bourbonista ladies t-shirt line, designed by Melody and Leslie and available now in the Bourbon Road shop. The guys also highlight their upcoming appearance at the Tennessee Whiskey Trail Experience in May and remind listeners to lock in their tickets for Bourbon on the Banks this October in Frankfort, Kentucky. A packed episode full of great pours and even better news.

Welcome to another great episode of the Bourbon Road with your host, Jim and Brian, where they talk bourbon and of course, drink bourbon. Grab yourself a pour, kick back, and enjoy another trip down the Bourbon Road.
You know friends, it's never too early to start planning your trip to the Bourbon Trail for 2023. We hope you'll join the Bourbon Road crew as we pull out all the stops this year at Bourbon on the Banks. So mark your calendars for October 6th and 7th and we'll plan on seeing you in Frankfurt, Kentucky. Be sure to listen in during the halftime break for all the details on Bourbon on the Banks. All right. Welcome back friends to another episode of the Bourbon Road podcast. I'm your host, Jim Shannon and Brian Hyatt. Our cohost is in the house, ready to have a good time today. Brian, how are you? Doing well, Jim. Doing pretty well for a Tuesday night. Yeah. We, we both say we're doing well, but it has been a rough week, right? I mean, we've had, it's been a pretty, uh, unsettling week.
That's right. Yeah, we've had some some pretty interesting and devastating events here in the city of Louisville. And of course, with the the mass shooting that took place at the old National Bank downtown, just one block from from the office that I work in and witnessed and heard shots and all kinds of stuff. So just really thinking about the folks affected, have some relationships with folks that knew people real well that lost their lives. And the police officer that was shot as well and had a friend that also had a minor injury from, from the, from the shooting. So, you know, there's been quite a bit going on in the past, you know, 36 hours or so. And just honestly want to think about all those folks that, that are really dealing with the difficulty of, of losing a loved one.
Yeah, I mean, those that have lost somebody that they care about and also those who are struggling at the hospital now to recover from. injuries and, and even those who didn't sustain injuries, but have that, that mental injury, right? That, that experience that will never go away, that, that recurring nightmare that'll happen over and over again throughout their lives as they recount, uh, you know, kind of what happened. I don't, I don't want to dwell on this, but I'd like the listeners to know that this is something that happened in bourbon country, you know, this, this week. And it's something that has impacted a lot of people. who are in the industry, in the business, who reside in Louisville, work in Louisville. It's been a major impact. It almost prevented us from even putting out an episode this week because, you know, we're dealing with issues, Brian, you in particular, dealing with issues with employees and such that, you know, they're having to process all this and it's tough.
That's right. It's been, uh, it's been, it's been heavy for, for a lot of folks and everybody processes a little bit different. So, you know, the ranges from, uh, those that are really, really struggling, um, with comprehending what went on to those that, uh, you know, have lived different life situations. You know, we have, we have folks at our office that are from foreign countries that have lived through some very serious wars and have encountered a lot of things in their lives. So they obviously process things a little bit different than folks that are not used to hearing sounds like that or being around anything similar to what we witness.
Well, our thoughts and prayers go out to those who, uh, who had to, to endure that situation this week, those who were, you know, in the gunfire, those who were witnesses or part of that, those who were injured, those who lost their lives or families that have lost loved ones, our prayers do go out to them. I don't know that we understand what they're going through, but I think, you know, the more times that this occurs. the more the rest of us understand that this is, uh, this is becoming a real problem. This is becoming a real issue and, uh, the two sides, the two political sides of this, and we're not going to take sides politically, but, uh, they need to find common ground. They need to find a place to come together and try to, you know, make things better. I guess this is the best way to put it. That's right. All right. So we have today, we have a couple of whiskeys we're going to drink through and we've constantly receiving samples from distilleries. Thank you so much to those distilleries that send us their samples so that we can review them and taste them and let our listeners know what we think about each one. We've got a number of samples today that we want to go through. We've got a couple of big announcements too. On a positive note, we've got some big announcements of some things coming up that we want to let people know about. But first, Brian, why don't we tell people what we have in our class today?
OK, so our good friends from Jefferson sent us over a couple of bottles. One is the Jefferson Oceans Voyage 25, and the other is the Jefferson's Reserve. So to start out, I have the Jefferson Ocean Voyage 25. And, uh, super excited to have this. I've had so many of the voyages along the way. And, uh, this is a, definitely a special treat, something that I've enjoyed over the years.
So Brian, why don't you taste, uh, that oceans 25 and let us know what you think about it.
All right. Cheers.
Cheers.
So. Some of the past voyages, I feel like I've had more of that salt flavor than I pick up on this one. It's definitely present. It's there. You can tell it's a Jefferson Ocean for sure. No question. I would say there's the caramel. I don't know that I would go as far as saying a sea salt caramel, but you know, it is, there is some caramel, there is some salt. So maybe you could go there with it. Uh, the vanilla, the brown sugar.
What's the proof on that one?
The proof on this one is 90 proof.
Okay.
Um, it's definitely not, uh, super hot, uh, on the nose. A slight, you know, maybe a slight ethanol on the nose, a little bit there. Some butterscotch. I feel like there's a touch of cherry with this. Definitely some fruity flavors with this. I said the nose, you know, potentially some cherry there is what I'm picking up.
that was priced around $83. I mean, you can find it in the 80 to 85 range normally, but, uh, it's, it's a, it's a little bit higher price bottle. Uh, do you find it to be kind of a, a nice kind of, uh, elegant sipper, or is it a little bit more just a traditional bourbon?
Um, I would say it's more of a, I would lean towards elegant on this one. Uh,
Little bit soft with some pepper on the back end, maybe.
Yeah, there's, there's a little pepper on the back end. I will say salted caramel corn. Okay.
Well, I mean, that's fair enough. If you're so, if, is, if that's your defining term for this whiskey, salted caramel corn. So, um, I love salted caramel. I love a little pepper on the back end. I like something that's a little bit, uh, Got a little bit of a fruity note to it. Uh, but maybe a 90 proof, you know, it's kind of a little bit lower. I like to be more net 98 to one Oh five range, but, uh, if a bourbon can stand on its own at 90 proof, that's a pretty big, that's a good thing to say. Right.
That's right. It's definitely on the finish, a little lingering on the finish. But again, I feel like there is a touch more ethanol to it than what you would think. But yeah, I mean, overall, it's good, similar to a lot of the other voyages to a certain degree. I've had so many along the way. That's hard to, hard to judge.
This one's not a cask drink though. That's for sure.
That's correct. That's correct. All right.
So what do you think? $83, uh, based on what you've, you've tasted. Is it something you would say, uh, uh, is it something to taste at a bar? Is it something to go get a bottle of? Is it something to a sample? Maybe it's your favorite liquor store.
Yeah, I would definitely say if you're looking to spend $83, I would definitely give it a shot. Go to your liquor store if they have samples there to taste it or to your local bar. I don't think you would go wrong with getting this bottle, but $83 is definitely not on the low end. Typically for me, when I'm going to spend that much, I like to taste it before I spend $83 on a bottle, regardless of what it is. Even if someone tells me to go get it, I'm always going to say I would like to taste it first, just to make sure it's something I want on my bar.
Absolutely. I agree with that completely. Thank you for that review, Brian. I appreciate it. Well, folks, I wanted to let you know that we are planning on another event. Now you hear each episode, how we're telling you how we're going to be at bourbon on the banks in October, uh, October the sixth, seventh and eighth. Actually the seventh is the big day there, but that's a big deal for us. So we hope you all plan on joining us at bourbon on the banks in October. But before that, there's a couple of things going on in one in particular. Is the Tennessee whiskey experience is happening in May the 20th. So that's as Tennessee whiskey day. It's a big day in Tennessee. The, the Tennessee whiskey trail has quite a celebration going on. The Tennessee Whiskey Trail experience is kind of a, I want to say it's a full week long event, but it's definitely several days and it's a lot of events going on leading up to the grand tasting that we'll be at. So definitely if you plan on being there, look for us to be wandering around at that event. I want to let you know that you can get an all access pass to that event. On Thursday, you'll have the ability to do a blend your own bottle experience at Pennington distillery. Uh, Pennington is a great place. We've had them on the show before we've had their whiskies on the show. Uh, such a great distillery there on Friday. Jack Daniels is ho is hosting barbecue on the hill. Wow. I mean, that's something you don't want to miss, right? Friday night, Old Smoky is having a pre-party. Old Smoky probably entertains more whiskey visitors than any other distillery on planet Earth, so they definitely know how to throw a party. On Saturday is the grand tasting experience. And then on Sunday they have a women in whiskey brunch and they'll have a great format of prominent ladies in whiskey. That'll be there for that brunch. It'll be a great event. You know, I think it's something that you don't want to miss. You know, certainly the bourbon road will be there. We'll be, we'll have bells on. We'll be enjoying the event ourselves. Make sure you go to the Tennessee whiskey trail experience.com to find out more about it. Uh, we hope you'll get some passes to that event. We'll see you there. Brian, I am drinking something that came to us from green river distilling. out of Owensboro, Kentucky, they sent us a couple of bottles and the one I wanted to taste tonight. And I actually have two bottles to taste tonight. The first one is from green river distilling. The second bottle is from a heaven hill. It's a larceny bottle, but. The green river distilling bottle is their weeded bourbon. It's a 90 proof bourbon. So we're, we're kind of sticking in the same proof range, uh, as the Jefferson's ocean 25 we just had, but this one is a weeded bourbon. So typically, you know, from green river, we've had their normal bourbon. This is a weeded bourbon and I'd like to walk us through it.
Awesome. Awesome. I can't wait to hear about it.
So I've got it in my glasses. Uh, it's definitely light in color on the nose. It is, um, it's kind of soft. It's not got a lot of ethanol on it. It just feels kind of nice on the nose, gentle. It feels a little spring like has a little sweetness. I pick up a little bit of spice, but more than anything, I get a little bit of fruit. It's light. It's like honey, maybe honey and apples. Cheers. I want to take a taste. Cheers. It's a very easy drinker washes right across the palette. uh... not a lot of pow kabam or anything like that just a nice gentle flow of whiskey across your palate little drying floral little sweet i would call it soft i would definitely call it soft the finish is uh... pretty short but pleasant it's got a nice pleasant finish on it i would call this definitely a sessionable whiskey this is something you could uh... You could sip on and drink on the porch. Brian, you and I could sit out there in the afternoon looking across the pasture and probably get rid of a bottle of this in a couple of hours. No problem.
Pretty easy drinker.
I like it. I like it. I think it's nothing special. It's nothing that's going to To make you go, wow, I got to tell my friends about this, but it's definitely something that is, uh, that is easy to drink. Goes down easy. Sessionable. You could sip on it. Just keep filling your glass up, having a good time with it. No ice needed.
Cool, warm, probably more of a warm weather whiskey.
I like it. Thumbs up. It's a good, it's a good solid whiskey.
No doubt. Awesome. And what was the price on that bottle?
A bottle of the green river weeded will run you about 35 bucks. So pretty, pretty reasonable price.
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, at that price, I think it's, it's one that I would go pick up, uh, without having a, you know, a sample or a taste at a, at a store or a bar. You know, that price point is right in the wheelhouse to give it a shot for sure.
Yeah. We just recently had their six year bourbon on with, uh, on a previous episode. Uh, we had with Rosa, uh, I guess it was, it's been about a month or so ago, but we hadn't had their weeded yet. So it was really nice to get to try this and, uh, I appreciate it. And yeah, at 35 bucks, I would say if you're a weeded bourbon fan, this is probably something you want to pick up, particularly leading into the warmer months. I think this is something that'll be refreshing. Uh, you can definitely drink it on a warmer day. That would be nice at, uh, you know, at a summer night campfire, bonfire would be great for that. So I think it's a good choice at 35 bucks. Well, you can't beat it. All right, Brian, we've got a couple of whiskeys down. We've, uh, we've had a couple of nice, great announcements from Nick. We've got a couple of really cool things to announce in the second half. Uh, we've got, uh, a new sponsor coming on and we won't say it now, but stick around. A great new sponsors coming on. We've also got a new product coming out that we're going to announce it saw on our website and we'd love you to check it out. So we're going to take a short break. And when we come back a couple more whiskies, some new announcements, a lot of fun. Hang around folks. As we mentioned earlier in the show, we hope you'll join us this fall on October 6th and 7th for Bourbon on the Banks. The festival itself is from 2 to 6 PM on October the 7th, and you can pick those tickets up at bourbononthebanks.org for $65. They also have an early access ticket for $75. It'll get you in an hour early and definitely get you access to some special pores. But if you always like that VIP access, this year they're bringing in the VIP access tickets. We'll give you access to their VIP tent and all the great things that go along with that for $175. Be sure to check out bourbononthebanks.org. They'll get all the details on this year's event. All right friends. So we are back. It's the second half in the first half. We had a little bit of Jefferson's ocean 25. Uh, we had green rivers, new weeded bourbon. The second half here, we've got a couple more whiskies and I'm going to start us off with. Larceny's new barrel proof release. Not out yet. Coming soon though. This is their B 523. So B, B second release of the year five, five, May 23, the year 2023. So the second release of 2023 coming out in May, this is larceny's B 523. I've got it in my glass. I'm kind of excited to try this. I really appreciate having L sentence this. It's nice to get a bottle of the larceny barrel proof. It's even better to get one that you don't have to pay for. Right. Brian. Absolutely. Wow. So on the nose is definitely, um, stings a little bit because of the proof. I'm getting a little bit of a extra ethanol in my nostrils, but underneath that I've got a nice fruity caramel.
Little bit of, uh, almond, maybe an almond. Cheers. I'm going to try it. Cheers.
Oh, that is, that is really nice. The nose was a little bit. I'll be honest, a little bit, um, rough and add a little bit too much of an ethanol burn on it. But, um, the palette is extremely nice, very warming, very buttery. It's got a little bit of a drying effect to it, but it's got a nice caramel, almost a butterscotch. Um, note to it. Kind of a honey butterscotch sort of a, a warm, this would be like, uh, almost like a hot toddy kind of thing. Like warm, lemony, buttery. Yeah. I mean, this would make it by, I, this would make a great hot toddy. Definitely for sure. Now, largely these bear proof releases happen a number of times each year. They are always typically in the one 20 range. This one is 124.4 proof, so pretty substantial. Larceny is a weeded bourbon. It is definitely Heaven Hills premium weeded bourbon expression. This particular release is a little, I would say it's a little aggressive on the nose, but on the palate, it's nice and buttery. It flows real well. It's a little bit dry, but it's got a nice nutty component to it. It has a little bit of butterscotch note, a little bit of honey. I kind of like it. I think it's, uh, I think it's a good expression and, uh, I, maybe if I revisit the nose here, I'll find that it's tamed down just a little bit. I, we just came off a couple of 90 provers, so maybe I just got surprised by it a little bit. So I'm going to revisit the nose. Okay. So the, the nose is still a little ethanol-y, but Uh, not quite as much as it was on the first pass. The palette rings in clearly with butterscotch, a little bit of honey. Uh, definitely some nice silky buttery, uh, nice texture, a little bit drying, but not too much. I think it's a great whiskey. I mean, I, I could really enjoy this.
I definitely can't wait to give that one a try. You're speaking my language there.
Larseny just happens to be Melody's like number one whiskey. She really, well, I don't know if it's her number one. It's between that and Eagle Rare. She likes the two. I think her favorite rye bourbon is Eagle Rare and her favorite weeded bourbon is Larseny. So she's got a very discerning palate. definitely. Thank you, Heaven Hill, for sending that. Actually, Brian, I need to give you a sample of this because this bottle is pretty good size, more than I can drink. What do you think about that?
I would love it.
Absolutely love it. All right. So we have a new sponsor coming on, don't we? Yes, we do.
You know, Jim, I'm really excited about this one. I know that, uh, this is something that you and I've talked about and, uh, something that, uh, that we've kind of looked forward to and we were able to, uh, uh, get together with the folks over there and, and be able to make this happen. So, uh, I know, I know I'm super excited about it and I'm sure that, uh, you feel the same way.
I do. So Brian, I was hoping you would like. Tell everybody who it is.
That's right. Yeah. We're kind of, kind of leaving everybody hanging. Right. Uh, so we are very excited to announce that the Blanton's bourbon shop.com, uh, is our new sponsor. So, uh, just to give you a little bit of information on the Blanton's bourbon shop.com, it is the official. Merchandise shop online shop for everything that blantons offers with the exception of. the actual bourbon. They do not sell bourbon on that website, but you can get everything from the staves and the bottle toppers, to coffee, to maple syrup, to honey, to Glen Caron glasses, just all kinds of very cool merchandise available on that site, and they're constantly coming out with new products.
Yeah. Blanton's as a brand is very collectible. People are very excited to collect the Blanton's bottles, the Blanton's toppers. They certainly love to get the staves with the toppers in them. You know, all things Blanton's tend to be very popular and it's, it's, it's our pleasure to have Blanton's bourbonshop.com. Uh, the official outlet for all Blanton's swag to be a sponsor of the show. So pretty happy about that. Pretty excited. Actually very excited. Right, Brian. Absolutely.
And that's not to say that you can't find the merchandise in liquor stores, especially in Lexington and Louisville and surrounding areas. You can definitely find the merchandise there that's all produced by Blanton's Bourbon Shop. And just many, many cool products available. And I'll be the first to admit that I have many of those products and have collected over the years and been very, very fortunate. to have the opportunity to taste some of the honey and the maple syrup and the coffee even before it was released. So just fantastic, fantastic products there.
So happy to have them on folks. You're going to start hearing their spots on our show here coming up in the next episode. So, uh, we're very excited and very happy to have them. And, uh, you're going to hear more about Blanton's bourbon shop.com, but in the meantime, go to the website, Blanton's bourbon shop.com and check them out. I think you're going to find something there that might just, uh, you might just have to have. So. Thank you very much. Blanton's bourbon shop for sponsoring the bourbon road podcast. We appreciate it. We look forward to a long relationship and very happy to have you as a partner moving forward. So Brian, what do you have in your glass now for the second half?
So I have a very special, very special pour here that was sent to us by Kentucky Owl. And this is the 2023 Mardi Gras Rye release. And it is the rye whiskey that was finished in the Bayou XO Mardi Gras Rum barrels. And there's actually a review on the website that I put up, I think a couple of weeks ago. So if you want to read a little bit more on that, I do have a nice little cheat sheet tonight on this one. Really, really enjoyed this. It is a unique rye whiskey. I will start by saying this is one that is a little bit more on the expensive side when you're looking at the MSRP. A little bit more? A little bit more. Yeah, it's a $500 ticket there. So you're going to reach a little bit deeper into your pocket to get this one. But again, if you have the opportunity to taste this in your favorite bar or somewhere, definitely give it a shot. I don't think you'll be disappointed. But it is, like I said, a very unique, I think it's a very cool release that they have here. And I'll just jump right into it. So on the nose, it's definitely a rye. There's no getting around that. It's all there. The nose also will bring some fruit into the mix. So you have some citrus there, and I even think plum. you know, switching from Jefferson's Ocean over to this, just total, total curve ball. The ethanol flavor or the ethanol part of the nose, you know, not honestly picking it up quite like I did the first time that I tasted this and a little bit easier to get a nose on this one than the first time around. All right, so here's the fun part, Jim.
You know, I didn't try this one yet, so I'm pretty excited to hear what you think.
So you definitely get the buttery rum taste. There's definitely some brown sugar. The rye spices for me, they are intense. I would also say spearmint. I think between the spearmint and the rye spices, you get that cool action on your tongue. I guess that's the right way to say that. Take a deep breath afterwards, and you get that cooling that comes on.
The same thing on the finish. I guess the real question everybody's asking is how long is the finish? And, uh, is it really worth $500 a bottle?
So the finish is not incredibly long. It does linger a little bit. There's some heat, but the, you know, when you, when you take the nose on this one and the initial taste, You would think that the heat would be a little bit more overpowering on the finish, but it's not. Definitely think that it's a little bit more subtle than what you would expect. It is, again, you know that nice cool finish, almost like you put a spearmint in or you were chewing some spearmint gum. I think that's probably the best way to put that. But as far as price point, you're digging really deep to go and pay $500 for a bottle. And for me personally, that would be a stretch. But again, I think if you have the opportunity to taste this, you want a bar or something, I would If the price is reasonable, I would absolutely encourage you to give it a shot. It's unique. You're not going to get this flavor profile really with anything else that you do.
And, and it's a limited release. It was, it was designed around kind of the Mardi Gras time, which is, has passed us by. And, uh, so I think if this is something that, I mean, if you're a collector that likes to put something on your shelf, this is definitely something you want to take a look at. Um, but you know, if you're just a connoisseur that likes to drink variety and likes to have things that are a little bit unusual and, and, and off the wall, uh, try to find this at a bar near you. If you can get a bottle, great. Share it with your friends, share it with as many friends as possible. But, uh, $500. That's a pretty price. No doubt.
That's right. And Jim, this is one of those that. I could see some of the folks that don't open the damn bottle could probably buy this one and set it up on the shelf. and let it sit there for a while before they do get to the point that they would open it up. But I could see, like you were talking about, the folks that collect, and they're not as interested in always opening bottles. I could see this being one that someone would purchase and hold onto for a while before they opened it.
Yeah, absolutely. Well, Brian, we've got another big announcement to make. You know, our, our ladies melody and, and, uh, Leslie have had their own little gig going on on the side and they've produced some t-shirts for the ladies and, uh, they have finally made it to the website. Why don't you tell our listeners a little bit about what that is?
Yeah, so this is also very exciting. I know that our wives have been talking about this, I believe, since November and really working on designs and getting some things together so that we could have a really cool offering for all the women that take time to listen and support the Bourbon Road. So we have a couple of t-shirts that we're releasing for the ladies. They're Bourbonista shirts. And so the first t-shirt is the Bourbonista ladies t-shirt that comes in pink and blue. On this shirt, you also see that it says, blame the bottle. And very cool shirt, very cool design. Again, these come in pink and blue. The price range on these are from $25 to $28, a little bit more expensive as you move up into the XX and the XXX shirts. Very, very cool design here. The shipping rate is $8. It's flat shipping rate on every product, regardless of what you purchase on the site. So that's the first one. And then there's also a second uh sure here which is more of a vintage look and so this one is a black shirt and again you know it says bernice to blame the bottle very very cool shirt so excited to release these and just get some things out there specifically for for the women.
Absolutely. I agree. And, and you know, if you go to kind of the urban dictionary and you look up what. the definition of bourbonista. Bourbonista in the urban dictionary is the act of drinking too much bourbon and how it excuses you from all the possible cringe-worthy events that follow. So, I mean, I guess it's kind of a fun thing. You know, if you have a little bit too much bourbon one night, you can say, hey, blame it on the bottle. And that's what bourbonista is all about. And I think it's pretty cool that the ladies have come up with that and they want to share it. with the other ladies and the roadies and, and in the bourbon community in general. So pretty cool stuff. Definitely. And we're, we're going to have Leslie and Melody on, on an episode here pretty soon. And we'll, we'll dive a little bit deeper into what they were thinking when they created this shirt, but. I'm pretty excited about it.
